National Estate Planning Awareness Week: October 19-25, 2020

This week is Estate Planning Awareness Week!

No.  You don’t need to go to Hallmark to get a card.

However, once you have set up your Trust or Will plan, it is easy to assume that you have checked estate planning off of your list forever, but life is ever changing. What may seem like a small change can impact your estate plan greatly. Not only do tax laws frequently change (for example, the recent SECURE Act), but so does your life and your assets. If you or your family have undergone any changes since you originally created your estate planning documents, now is the perfect time to reach out to us for an estate plan review. If you have acquired new assets or opened new accounts, have you funded them into your trust or correctly set your beneficiaries?  If you have not yet set up your estate plan, now is the time to do so. In the words of Benjamin Franklin, “Failing to plan is planning to fail.” Do not fail your loved ones or yourself—contact us today. We are available for in-person and virtual appointments for you, your family and friends.
